I've had a few rough weeks that go into months. Came off gabapentin as I had a perment acne rosacea, I've now come off anti biotics for face, I was on duloxetine for pain but diagnosed with glaucoma had to come off as this can cause eye pressure in the eye to rise. So basically on 200mg of gabapentin a day and paracetamol, the flare up and pain was horrendous.. Plus now realised other things ...

Duloxetine and Glaucoma

Hi...
Not posted on the site for a long while. Eight weeks ago after a massive flare up, have gave in and decided to try anti depressants. It was that or sick leave. I'm suffering with a few side effects as usual medications for side effects, but coping better as i can manage pain, I'm in the process of reducing gabapentin and stopped antibiotics that helped acne rosacea, which I'm sure the gabapentin started in the ...

Foam Rolling

Obviously not one for those with severe joint problems, but foam rolling seems to work on some on the areas which we have problems with. My physio suggested rolling a tennis ball between my back and a wall which perhaps works on similar principles.

For years, it was regarded as a way of releasing tension from the soft connective tissue known as fascia that forms a kind of matrix around the entire human ...

Taken off Dosulepin - pain has returned

Hello,

I am new to this forum and so thank you for letting me join.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 12 years ago and at that point was put on 75mg of Dosulepin (which I believe is an antidepressant used in low doses as a muscle relaxant) which has kept most of my pain symptoms (particularly in my legs and arms) at bay.
5 weeks ago my GP insisted that I stopped this drug immediately ...

Pregabalin - a short story

After three months of Pregabalin at 150mg x 2 per day, I had to stop taking it quite suddenly. A family tragedy began to unfold and during this intense period I couldn’t function properly because of the Pregabalin’s adverse effects of dizziness and dissociation, and I desperately needed a clear head. Up till then I felt I was getting some benefit from this drug. It was apparently keeping my pain and disturbed sleep in check ...

LDN (low dose naltrexone)

Hi, I have an appointment with my dr in a couple of weeks, and wanted to go armed with some suggestions for meds, as mine just don't seem to be helping. I haven't been to the drs about meds for quite a while, but have been getting progressively worse. I have read a few things about a drug called LDN low dose naltrexone, but I was wondering if anyone has or is taking it, and ...
