Petition: Fibromyalgia recognition within the DWP

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/105058

Petition: Have better understanding and recognition of fibromyalgia within DWP processes

Currently DWP processes do not consider nor understand the chronicity of fibromyalgia on daily living and in turn the impact on ability to sustain work. At present cases are not being assessed by professionals that are fully trained and knowledgable of how fibromyalgia affects daily living.

As a result many are being refused the opportunity to be assessed if an assessment is missed ...

Remember to register to vote

Previously, one person in every household was responsible for registering everyone else who lives at that address. Under individual electoral registration, each person is now required to register to vote individually, rather than by household. There are fears many students may be excluded who have a low enough turnout as it is.

What is the real motive behind individual voter registration?

Confused who to vote for? This questionnaire might help.

I often think people are confused by rhetoric and debates and are influenced by personalities. Politicians are also often sufficiently vague in an attempt to capture as much of the vote as possible.

This questionnaire asks a number of multiple choice questions about your orientations and beliefs, then determines how left or right, or authoritarian or libertarian you are on a graph called the political compass here.

Does anybody know how we can fight for our rights at parliament? Surely there is enough of us to make our voices heard against the DWP and un-believing GP's...
Or does anybody know of any action already taking place?

UKIP wants to charge NHS patients to skip waiting times

UKIP leader Nigel Farage has endorsed an article by the party’s health spokesperson which calls for people to be allowed to pay to skip A&E waiting times.

Last week Farage tweeted an article by John Stanley, a surgeon and UKIP candidate, referring to Stanley as a “UKIP health spokesman”.

In the article Stanley argues that people requiring urgent treatment should be seen within two hours, whereas those requiring non-urgent treatment should be given the option ...

Will the new 7 day waiting period encourage loan sharks?

Osborne is to introduce a new seven day waiting period before somebody can receive benefit. So who really wins in this spending review? One clear winner will be legal loan sharks, Wonga, The Money Shop, Quick Quid and the like.

http://www.leftfootforward.org/2013/06/ ... y-lenders/

Perhaps this is a softener to the payday loan firms who are facing the scrutiny of the Competition Commission after a watchdog found widespread abuses? Why ...
