Ormskirk/Southport support

Postby nikkinoo » Wed Jan 29, 2014 4:10 pm

Hi

Is anyone from Ormskirk or Southport?

I'm trying to find out what support is around here...
Also does anyone know of good specialists near here that are knowledgeable with fm, that I could possibly be referred to by gp?

Since been diagnosed I don't know anything about managing, triggers and flare ups, all I know it that at the age of 26, I feel I've had my life taken from me, I cant do anything I use to enjoy and reply on family daily to help me.
I feel if I can learn more and how to manage my symptoms I may cope a bit better.

As it happens it was Dr Gantry that first diagnosed my wife, he is a consultant in pain medicine and anesthesia and assured my wife that he believed her pain was real. That first diagnosis was then closely followed by a second confirming diagnosis from her Rheumatologist

I think OT stands for
Occupational Therapist
other abbreviations are
BF boyfriend
GF girlfriend
OH other half
DD dear daughter
DS dear son
MIL mother in law
etc
TBH to be honest
IMO in my opinion

some people use it alot others not at all
depends on the context

hope that helps
all the best :cow-wave: Lu
