MODEL MAKING.

Postby eddiesolo » Mon Feb 17, 2014 9:55 pm

Hi there.

I have been making models on and off for many years and started back into it to help with my depression and my FMS to keep my hands, mind etc active.

So here are a just a few of the models, dio's etc I make maybe not to everyone's taste but it helps me.

The Triceratops dinosaur is a poundshop special, altered usind Milliput to sculpt a mouth, redo the joints, it was then airbrushed, painted, and clear resin added to the mouth, nostrils and eyes to make them look more realistic. Once done a plinth was made and decorated.

Very nice!

I have been making plastic models since I was 4 some 48 years ago! I mostly do scale aircraft. Sadly my hands aren't as useful as they were so I have had to cut down on my output.

Thank you very much, glad you like it. I make all kinds but am into boats. I too struggle with pain in my hands, like they have been crushed, wrists, arms etc so building can be an ordeal but I enjoy it and it helps me.

Just noticed that the pics are a bit big lol, sorry about that.

A few more.

Aliens, figures are my lads and he wanted me to make a backdrop for them, so I made a corridor from an old wooden Ikea box file, some Megablox (cheapo Lego) wall pieces and some craft foam tiles. The figures have been weathered and painted, the lights are old shaving razor covers with mesh over the top and powered by battery operated Xmas lights.
