Postby sandrina » Thu Apr 24, 2014 8:01 am

Hello. From several years, I have problems with my obesity. I tried several diets, but without any result. Now I'll try slimming product reductan. What do you think about my decision?

Is your weight problem down to a thyroid problem, I'd get that checked out first Sandrina. Also sugar when it's digested turns into fat, I didn't know that until I read a book on a pH diet/way of eating etc.

Sandrina....your weight issues could be caused by various things, thyroid as suggested by Lindilou, as well as meds could be the problem.

You should see your Dr and have a chat about possible causes and what can be done. I am a none believer with "diets" . Most of these are a quick fix and the weight goes back on.

IMO, weight loss is achieved by a change in lifestyle. It is about eating differently and changing your exercise program. I realize that our limited ability to exercise can be an issue but it doesn't have to be huge, just a change. Eating habits, having 3 healthy meals a day is important.

As I said, talk to your Dr. X

:welcome: to the forum Sandrina. Do you have FM, or think you may do so??? Do you think that your weight issues may be related to FM and/or meds and treatments relating to it, or do you feel there could be something else that might be behind it or affecting it???

You've been given some helpful advice from Lindilou and Whoami. As for commenting on your decision to try a product such as Reductan the most supportive thing I can come up with, esp after looking at their site, is that only you can make that decision. However, if you really, truly believe that a product which claims to be
guaranteed the most efficient way for fast weight loss. Our product for weight reduction is your weapon against the unwanted and dangerous overweight – but with no strict diets and yo-yo effect.
It is not necessary any more to lose your precious time in fitness or to make strict diets to achieve the desired weight. We offer you easy, fast and effective way to be in perfect shape. Take our fully natural product for weight loss and you will notice the unbelievable result in a few days.

Is the way for you to go, then you should follow it. That is of course you are considering taking it, and not trying to advertise it, as that isn't allowed on here, as per the Basic Rules For Membership which we encourage all new members to read and be familiar with.

However, looking at the site, and seeing that there are a number of typos, poor grammar and punctuation, esp in a "quote" from someone who is said to recommend the product
Reductan has been recommended as a very effective weight loss pill in an article of Dr. A. Patrick, a leading American herbalist and dietitian.

Dr. A. Patrick: “I recommend Reductan slimming pills to all people who have problems with overweight. It’s a very useful and effective weight loss product.”

{I have already taken into consideration that such things can appear when a site is translated from one language into another}
It's not something that I, nor a good number of other people would consider using. Whilst the approach that whoami has suggested takes time, it is a far healthier, safer way to deal with excess weight.

In my opinion, diets dont work long term. You need to change your lifestyle. I lost just over two stone a few years ago. But back then I didnt have the fibro so I managed to exercise at home on the Wii, and ate better. I never stopped eating what I liked but I was very strict with myself. For instance, instead of having a whole chocolate bar, I would take a bite throughout the day. I ate lower calorie crisps too but not specialist ones. Just a lower calorie one like wotsits and quavers. Small changes like having skimmed milk instead of full fat or semi. I bought a lower calorie bread, changed my margerine, lower calorie puddings and yoghurts etc etc. Small changes that helped me out. I don't believe in denying yourself anything which is what a diet does, then when you finish the diet, you end up gorging on everything you missed out on. Another thing I did was buy hot chocolate to have instead of eating chocolate after chocolate. Plus it filled me up, especially on an evening when you want to snack.

Hope this helps xxx
I am a fibro fighter not a fibro sufferer. I will keep fighting from the minute I get up til the minute I go to bed.
