going above my GPs head

Postby ouchisme » Thu Jun 11, 2015 11:22 am

My doc has said that there is nothing else medication wise that he will prescribe me. After having my medication revue. I have been on these doses for a long time and i know that i am not really having any help with pain levels. I asked for something that i can top up or rejig amounts on to see if that may help. But nope nothing doing.
Would you go ahead and aproach rhymentology if you have been under them in the past?
Had symptoms for 5yrs. Dx February 2011

i had same problem demand a referral to pain consultant as they can change and modify your medication my doc was exactly the same and was making out like all i wanted was more pain meds when really i wanted to change to something else to help which the pain consultant did thank god.

What medications are you on or have you tried?

Even if you have run out of options or room to increase the dose often just changing something can help. I'm surprised the GP said there is NOTHING he can offer?

I wonder if a pain management consultant could help you ?
