With how you have described how it is making you think and feel, you need to really go and see your GP about this. It's not something I can recall being mentioned as being related to/associated with FM. Such things can quite often be an unrelated, stand~alone condition, and be fairly easily treated.

I suffer from my eyelids drooping slightly not all the time especially if im tired or have a flare up the ophthalmologist said it could be muscle weakness related to my fibro but I also am being checked regularly for thyroid eye disease but you must see your doctor or optician because it may be something else but try not to worry to much just get it looked at if nothing else to rule things out and put your mind at rest

Hi again Leigh,

How long have you had this droopy eyelid? Is it there all the time? Are there any other symptoms that accompany it, such as pain behind the ear on the same side? X

I have exactly the same , I asked my optician who instantly assured me it was Fibro related and explained that Fibro is causing my eye muscles not to work properly . However he did then check my eyes thoroughly and found nothing unusual going on . I hope this helps .

I had the same in just one eye! It goes when I'm feeling a bit better. But yes, get it checked to be sure.

My daughter suffers from Fibro. I have noticed that when she get's tired, or is having a flare up her left eye droops badly, then it gradually returns to normal when pain subsides or after a long rest. Her droopy eye now alerts all of us as to how unwell she is on any given day.

I had an eye test at the opticians. They told me I had raised pressures in my eyes. I would need to see. A specialist. I have been under the eye hospital for a year now. They say the nerve at the back of my left eye is peculiar. Your guess is as good as mine. They will have to monitor it, they said. What's that about anyone.
