IMPORTANT - BBC Watchdog Looking for ATOS Stories!

Postby MCT » Tue Jan 31, 2012 5:56 pm

Hooray! Perhaps they are beginning to take notice after all! :-D

BBC Watchdog have been on Twitter asking "@BBCWatchdog: Know anyone who's been declared "fit to work" by Atos when they're clearly not?"

If you, or anyone you know, have an ATOS/ESA medical story they would like you to go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/ and give them details.

I reckon if you have been declared fit to work & whether or not then successfully appealed the finding it would be worth writing to them about your experience. The more people willing to expose the disgraceful tactics employed by ATOS at ESA medicals the better! This just might be the chance that will make folks to wake up to the disgrace that is the ATOS medical and show just how flawed the ATOS system is before the Government force everyone on health related benefits to be subjected to them.

Have you sent Watchdog any info War Veteran?

My hubby was a RM Commando & ended up in working in stores before being discharged PURMS (Permanently Unfit R M Service) 14 years ago. He was recently scored zero going from IB to ESA and we have an appeal in progress. I've written to Watchdog giving details of some of the cr*p info they've put in his assessment report.

Hopefully they'll get enough to run a Watchdog special!

I think they need to do a Panorama special where reporters accompany a few claimants to assessments to film what goes on & then compare what was actually said/done in the room with what appears on the paperwork!

Following yesterday's interview with Dame Anne Begg http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17087724 the BBC were asking people for stories about their concerns about PIP and how it would affect them.
