DLA Tribunal tomorrow for my daughter!!

Postby Neilr1978 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 7:49 pm

Hi gang,

Well its Jessica's DLA tribunal tomorrow and Mam and me have read through countless bits of paper trying to swot up for tomorrow afternoon, as in the last tribunals the panel interpretated reports as they saw fit,it felt like they tried to make us out to be liers. They say that her hypermobilty syndrome and chronic pain is not bad enough to get DLA, even though Great Ormand Street Hospital say she has an extreme from of the illness.
They keep saying Jess can walk 40+ meters before rest so she can walk, without grasping their own rules of walking with severe discomfort and as soon as she walks thats what she gets.
Anyway sorry for the rant its just hard as this has been to tribunal twice before,to get to another tribunal we had to take it to the upper tier to see if we could get it back to tribunal and they say we have grounds on care for another shot at the tribunal but the decision must be made tomorrow on a claim going back 3 years.

Regards

Just wanted to pop by and say I really hope everything went well for you and your daughter and you got the right decision,
I have got my tribunal tomorrow so I'm hoping I don't have to get to the point that you are at but to be honest I'm
not holding my breath though as I don't have any faith in any of these beaurocrats :(
