DLA form filling on a question

Postby gary who? » Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:13 pm

Hi all.. I have been advised by a friendly housing officer to apply for dla but I am not sure about one question..as follows

Have you had any tests for your illnesses or disability? yes or no? page 9 question 21.

Do I put down I had an assessment for work and failed by receiving '0' points?

Any advice appreciated. Keep well.

no it means have you had any tests/assessments to diagnose your condition i think, i couldn't think of anything else other than blood tests or the 18 point test they use for the fibro.

someone else might have some other ideas - good lluck. :-)

I never thought to pop down my trigger point test!

I put down blood tests, ultrasounds, xrays and my brain scan :-)

I really cannot remember what I answered on that question, but yes it means blood tests, trigger point test and any other test that the doctors thought fit to subject you to before diagnosis (mine including Several CT, Xrays, bloods, simple leg raises, bend over touch my toes (which I couldn't) and probably others that I can't even remember. My Doc's are still subjecting me to this and to that).

Hope this helps, and Good luck with your application.
