ESA and phase return to work

Postby fibro-lu » Fri May 04, 2012 2:22 pm

I am still employed
in the process of finishing my ESA application

in the event that I will have yet another phased return to work
what is happening to ESA? will I be paid by employer or will ESA continue?
Lets say I'm put into the work group, does this mean I will look for work regardless that I am still employed but not well enough to it ...

thanks for your brain share

I thought you were going down the ill health retirement route at the moment Lu?

I completed my ESA form last week because my SSP payments have run out, I still get a third of my salary paid by my employer and will continue to do so while ever I am employed by them. It's something to do with my length of service.

I am attending a meeting soon with my employers as I have been offered a payout but as it is only tier 1 I will be fighting for tier 2 for immediate pension. As usual union rep says it's highly unlikely that I will win :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

think I had another of those
doubt/denial moments

ie HR and OH try to convience me and won't give me ill health retirement
then I am either well or at least well enough for another phase return
but fact is I would fail another phased return because I am not well enough

sorry foggy day
all the best :cow-wave: Lu
