Postby rosehip » Mon Jun 11, 2012 4:26 pm

DLA letter arrived after 4 weeks , they are saying they do not have enough evidence so they are writing to my gp. Isent a letter from my gp when i applied for it and sent the letter with the form. Is this routine or a bad omen  :?:

Hi rosehip,

More info seems to be a standard practice of time wasting, i had the same thing, letters etc from Drs all sent with application and they still sed they need more info, even thou they had all to make a positive decision.

Hope it goes well for you.

Definately a time wasting procedure. I had a letter saying they were writing to my consultant and my G.P for more info. Then eventually I had a letter saying they were refusing my claim. But nothing in their letter mentioned anything my hospital or G.P said. In fact the letter stated it had gone by my claim form only. So obviously I am appealing as I'm not happy that they kept me waiting for months while they gain proof etc and then not use it.
Hope you get some good news
