reconsideration/ new condition

hi all i told you i had been turned down flat for dla.
yesterday i was diagnosed with emphysemia. should i tell them for my reconsideration.

yes tell them every time something changes even if its only little every time new meds started or changed just ring them any problems no matter how little you think will mater dont worry ring and tell them they will then add notes to your claim hope you get sorted out

Hi

Sorry but the new diagnosis wont be looke at for your recon as they will only be looking at what you had when you applied up to the recon. You have to have had the condition for n6 months so you will now need to make a fresh claim and include the new information and tell them you have been diagnosed but had the condition for over 6 months. The tribunal may take the new diagnosis into account if the symptoms were listed on your origional claim despite not having a diagnosis however its best to be prepared and put a new claim in .

Are you asking them to reconsider before the appeal.

hi it was on my original application but was just down as breathlessness i have only just got a diagnosis
