Need to claim DLA help needed please

Postby Freespirit » Mon Mar 04, 2013 3:23 pm

Im on sever dissablment allowance . I need to claim DLA. I have PTS depression and Mild agrathobia . My Doc is now about to diagnose Fibro. The trouble I have is I have only ever seen normal GP in adulthood. I have no idea where to start. I'm told it will be hard to claim du to not seeing specialists. This was due to my fear of going out and of seeing people I don't know  What do I do know.

Usually we suggest getting help with claiming something like DLA. The organisations that can provide this help include Citizens Advice, Welfare Rights. A bit of Googlying should help with finding who/what is in your area, and maybe sending some initial emails to them with a brief explanation of what you're looking for help~wise could start things off, esp with you saying about your fear of going out and seeing people you don't know.

If your dog doesn't like someone, then you probably shouldn't either

Thank you. There is a CAB adviser for Dissability near me. I'll go see her as my son has DLA forms for his Autism . I'll ask her about mine too.
