Sorry to hear about all the problems with employers.

To cut a long story short, my husband was dismissed from work in 2006 due to medical inefficiency, which meant he lost all his rights to his pension. We challenged this because his condition was covered under the DDA, most of which is now covered by The Equality Act 2010, we won a case for unfair dismissal, getting the offer of re-employment (too awkward after the hearing) and his right to his pension back.

As you are doing, keep notes of everything, and make sure that the company are following all the correct procedures, because slip ups by them can really help your case, should it get that far.

Echoing the advice of others, a union is a really good idea, we could not have done it without my husbands, they provided a solicitor, and a barrister for the tribunal, who were fantastic, and did not cost us a penny.
