Hi,if you get mid or high rate care dla the. Provided neither of you earn more than about 100 a week your husband can claim carers allowance if he cares for you at least 35 hours per week.....however, if you are in income related esa your husbands carers allowance will be ignored,so well worth claiming for. For single people though they can get an additional premium on ESA if they don't have anyone getting carers allowance...this only applies to adults living alone.
