Hiya, im signed off at the min after an op....ive had 6 weeks off so far and my sick note runs our on 11th Oct.

I work in a restaurant and will be returning on light duties, so no plate carrying or table shifting for me for the time being, i will be on host and expo (making sure all the food goes out on time) probably up until christmas, with maybe a few short table shifts in closer to Christmas.

Thank you for your replies and good wishes.

I went in on weds and Fri last week for 3 hours. I was on a very very reduced workload to the point of feeling a bit useless, but buzzing at being back.

I totally overdid it on weds, thinking I was invincible now. This meant I spent all day thurs in bed recovering. Not the brightest thing I've done - all that pacing I'd worked on went right out the window.

So come Fri I knew to take it easy once I got home. I used my stick which led to a few questions by customers, but I'm not embarrassed by that. I see it as a bit of PR for the cause of raising the profile of FM.

Next week I'm doing the same hours for 3 days, so wish me luck :woot:

Good luck Helhit! I guess trying too much on your first day was the only way for you to realise you had, so at least you are learning what is possible. I do that too!

I will be back on the works rota as of this time next week, i am looking froward to it, but i am also dreading it at the same time, I am going to start at 20 hours and then go back up to 30.

I have just given me CV into somewhere though for a new job which is a lot more up my street and less challenging on my already falling to bits body.
