Postby Ollycob » Sun Mar 08, 2015 11:32 pm

I have my first assessment for PIP on Wednesday and I'm not sure what to expect. Can anyone help me please? Thank you :)

Hi

I had mine 5 weeks ago...
They ask you general questions on what your day to day is.like, what you can do, and how far you can walk etc.
You will also be asked to do a few tests ie finger touches. And
Try to touch your toes.

She will do a.memory test to see if you can remember things at all.
I was awarded care pip but not mobility

Good luck x

when i had mine i was nervous and didn't know what to expect reading horror stories on various sites but i can say it was ok the person who took my assessment knew about fybro and was ok. i explained i could not get on the bed as it would hurt and i answered all questions as it was a bad day also took any evidence i had paper work diaries etc. it took about 45 mins i was asked if i could touch my head which i couldn't but tried then pinch thumb and index finger together thant was it. about 4 weeks later i got decision standard care and mobility. personally i would go with someone when i have review but just answer all questions to the best of your ability.
