didnt know what make of assesor

had my pip assesment this morning didnt know what make of it i feel she didnt belive me she works for the nhs not atos she said chewing chewing gum and popping bubbles how unproffesional i feel she got at me because i have no specilist input for my fibro artrtis and m.e i told her sick of asking my gp for help she said oh fibromyalgia as expolded now theres lots of services available yes right ok bet she didnt note down my hubby told them have hav made plans regarding my mental health as i simply cant cope anymore with existing coz thats all i am :( think the dreaded brown envelope will be a NO and lose my dla :( anyone else had assesors like this or is it just me not trusting has i do hav issues in that way as for the medical examination she tried get me onto bed on my own my hubby had to help me with a stool and then help me onto the bed she did nothing i feel i hav let myself down :( so upset

Had the same sort of thing when I had my assessment. Was awarded high rate care and low rate mobility. I appealed and had the mobility moved to high rate. Good Luck.

thank you i just feel she didnt belive me seemed to keep asking same questions when it came to te examination part she tried get me to get up on the bed my hubby got the stool helped me on this and helped me onto bed she tried a few times in tricking me out of getting up of the chair but it didnt work as i was in so much pain and exhausted with the fibro amd m.e/cfs x

i dont think you are being unreasonable , and I know you are not alone. The assessor I had said very little, asked only closed questions , typed with 2 fingers only and clearly was not able to keep up, i was rubbing my back because of the pain, she wrote , " can reach her back with hand to scratch it" i mean wtf? lol

dont take it personally and expect the worse , some really ill people are being turned down , but the upside is , they almost nearly all, get overturned.

i am learning very fast that fibro is very much a yawn for medical professionals . i too had " there is no input from specialist therefore you are able to manage your condition with out help" I asked rheumy to write a letter, have to wait to see what he says.

the whole process is not fit for purpose. :-?
