CAPITA (the PIP people) are clueless - IT GETS WORSE

Wife got a letter for an appt. Clashed with something else.

So phoned them and changed it. All good. Letter in the post - arranged for 3 weeks time.
Had letter saturday - exactly the same format - telling her appt is friday.

No explanation - no sorry we had to cancel the one you sorted out on the phone. They make things worse not better.

I missed my last appointment I just couldn't be bothered with the usual rubbish blah blah blah your fit to work,your money is a nightmare until you sign on etc I'm sick of the same s*** some aerosol telling me what I can do and can't do

Has anybody found any difference know that it's not atos anymore?

Hope you claimed the travel expenses as allowed anyway. Personally, I would bill them for my time as well.

I see their letters say you're allowed to change the appt once but then if you dont turn up your claim may be cancelled. But I dont think it works both ways for them!

OMG. It gets worse. To summarise:-

1) First appt came. Wife phoned got it re-arranged for few weeks time. Got confirmation letter in the post.
2) Saturday another letter came with no explanation with a date for Thursday.
3) Wife phoned today (thursday clashes with her hospital appt). They told her she can't postpone it again because shes done it once.

OMG. How stupid can you get? It was all sorted until THEY changed it again with 3 days notice! Guy on the phone was really rude and just said its tough and she had to turn up Thursday or the claim would be cancelled.

How do we complain about this? Appalling behaviour.

Good news. They phoned the day after the complaint to offer any appoitment my wife wanted and a home visit if she wanted. (not needed).

So point is, don't let the people on the phone mess you around. If you get no joy then complain. If you dont complain they'll keep getting away with it.
