PIP - hopefully this time....n

Postby katherine244 » Tue Jun 30, 2015 5:59 pm

So, after turning up for Atos medical last September to find out the assessor was on holiday and hadn't let me know, then another one in October when the woman saw me for 12 minutes and interrupted me constantly, then going to tribunal which got stopped part way through due to running out of time, I finally had a full tribunal today. Decision not made so will be posted. Fingers crossed but not holding my breath. 14 months from beginning to now.......

It was pretty horrible to be honest. The doctor, while apparently being 'pleasant' was looking at me like he was not believing a word I said and tried to catch me out so many times. The questions from the 'person with experience of disabilities' had the most intrusive questions, about care and things, so that included toilet needs and all that! I'm so pleased it's now over with, although am now dreading getting the letter in the post as I've nowhere to go from here if they refuse me.....

Hi Katherine
That sounds like an incredibly stressful process. I really hope it goes well for you!

Fingers crossed!

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell, I know right now you can't tell. But soon enough, you're gonna think of me. And how I used to be...me
