Hello everyone,

Im Claire, 25 years old and recently diagnosed with FMS and arthritis...

I was told by the specialist dr that i am seeing that I have probably had it for the best part of ten years since my symptoms began, but they were put down to growing pains... However the presiding factor in me developing FMS was a car accident and alot of stress and trauma in my teenage life.

I don't work due to the pain and lack of movement i have, but also i have mental health problems and an eating disorder.

I get depressed about not being able to work, because I used to love my job - i was a dispensing technician in a pharmacy... but i paint and sing and have a mad but fantastic fiancee and two nieces and two nephews who keep me busy so i am not bored! LOL

I love this site, its so imformative and easy to read, and I hope to make some friends here. Anyone else in Essex?

Love and peace. Claire x

Diagnosed with fibromyalgia, it would be good to hear from people as a form of support and to support.

Hi Claire,
welcome to the site,
my symptoms have been there for most of my life and I think really started when the migraines did at age 12 but they have got far worse in the last 3 years following a horse riding accident and rapidly worsened in the last 6 months but for what reason I dont know
I dont have any arthritus showing on blood tests or x-rays and am now waiting to see rheumatologist again with hopes of a proper diagnosis.
Take care xxx
