Hi Shaz,
Thanks Shaz, I've also tried loads of meds, I'm on naratriptan at mo. 2.5mg tabs, I can take 1 tab and then another 4 hrs later but no more than 2 in 24 hrs. They only work on migraines not other types of headaches and are the most effective so far. :)
I've had them since I was 12, it was how they found out I was partially deaf, they thought they must be a reason someone so young was getting migraines and gave me a hearing test. I was and still do have to concentrate so hard to hear what people are saying, especially on the phone that I end up with a migraine. :(
You don't take them every day just when you know a migraines on it's way, for me one side of my face goes numb.
They don't get rid of the pain completely but they do block it, instead of being confined to bed with the lights out I can tolerate some light for a while and I can actually move around.
If you haven't already tried them might be worth asking your dr, they do make me a bit drowsy but I can put up with that, I'm not sure about the sickness because the migraines have always made me sick anyway. :dunno:
Take care

Thanks Mia.
I have wrote that one down, not sure if i have tried them.

I am on sumatriptan, but they are not really working, i have to wait for the migraine before taking one, then if it does not go i take another in a hour.
