I have just had several months of a miserable flare up, much longer than usually. Got really exhausted, didn't know what to do with myself and wondered if the misery would ever lessen - a bit more back to normal, just trying to cope with the day to day managing the condition. I had a couple of auto immune conditions and I have quite difficult breathing probs as well.
I am retired and I do try to do things which will make life easier and keep me fitter. Living on my own makes things very difficult at times.
This is not a very positive start but usually I try hard to have a sunny outlook!! There is no self help/support group in our area, just to share the good and the bad would be helpful. I have enjoyed and found it useful reading stuff others have posted. :)

Welcome to the forum Izzy, you've come to the right place to ask questions, get support and make friends. I find it better than a local support group as I dont have to leave my house :D

Hi Izzy welcome. Im fairly new too.

And in the same position as you. In the midst of a flare up!!!! So frustrating as Im trying to put the strategies I learnt at a Pain Management Programme into practice and I cant. Im stuck either in bed or on the sofa or on the loo!!!!!

It all sucks and the weather definatley does not help. Im just glad I have my 3 lovely pussy cats. Do you like cats, could you get a cat to keep you company. An older pussy cat would cuddle up with. Just a though.

Hi Izzy
Welcome to the forum, hope we can help and support you. Do you live near the sea? I used to go to Swanage on a regular basis, i love it there. I live in Great Yarmouth now and my being near the sea makes me feel better, psychologically anyway..
take care and hope to hear from you

You can always have a virtual coffee in the lounge Della... or a virtual cocktail if you fancy something stronger :D
