day out

Postby shazq » Tue Apr 28, 2009 6:18 pm

fingers crossed that the weather will stay dry tomorrow.
for a valentine present i bought my OH a half day out learning to fly a hawk.
men are so hard to buy for thought this was something different, he is really looking forward to it.
just hope he is feeling better tomorrow as he has had a few bad days.

That is so cool Shaz, I'd love to do that. :woot:
I'll keep my fingers crossed too that it at least stays dry for your OH.
Hope he has a good day...let us know how it goes.

Oh wow! that would be soooo amazing! And what a lovely idea for something different. Beautiful creatures, and although I've only ever seen them at the shows in Blair Drummond Safari Park  they were brilliant to watch flying so close. (That park is so not like it used to be :( )

we had a great day out, the falconry was really nice, getting up so close to the birds and seeing their beautiful colours.
took some lovely pics and done some cam cording.
OH had a falcon, owl & eagle fly onto his arm, they had to wear the thick leather gloves and hold a chick leg for the birds to feed on.
the sun was shining, which made the day even better.
they had 2 peacocks just walking around, hens, cocks, a dog.
we have come back shattered, as they take you through a wooded area so you get the feel of how silent the birds fly onto your hands. we were there for 4 hrs.
we got home made a cuppa and laid out on the sofa.
we had such a lovely day out but we are paying for it now.

I love animals of any kind, if i had been in America i would have done my therapy work with all different animals - they do horses, llamas, mice everything - not like here its mostly dogs and a few cats.
I have no fear of any animal and just adore everything on two and four legs.
Even the three legged cat that passes by every day comes for a cuddle.
But those were the days when i could work
I just adore Owls and Bats!!! (Guess that comes from my heritage from Transalvania on my Dads side)
