You have to let the gp know as soon as you suspect you have SF as tamiflu can only be given if you start it within 2 days of showing symptoms, after than it doesn't work.

Yes we have it in the area too.
What with us just coming back from our break to the new forest, we went to tourist places, so you never know what you pick up.
One women was coughing away walking along the street, we were waiting to cross the road, she coughed all over us, i said to OH wish she would put her hand over her mouth. :banghead: :banghead:

One problem with this flu you often don't have any warning when you are going to sneeze or cough, it's a dry hacking explosive cough. I carry tissues in my hand at the ready. The Tamiflu is very good and helps to prevent me passing it on to others, though I have stayed in since I was diagnosed, which everyone should really. My husband shows no sign of developing it so far luckily.

What were your symptoms when you got it?

How long did it take for the Tamiflu to give you some relief?

I feel awful, but dont want to go calling the GP for nothing.

I ache much more then usual, got migraine's, back pains, sore throat, coughing, had hot sweats during the night, just feel so tired and lack energy..... :dunno:

Update
Just called NHS direct, have been assessed by a specialist nurse over the phone, she said that i had to ring my GP ASAP to get some help, so looks like i have swine flu.
Was on phone for ages, got asked lots of questions, she was a nice nurse, she said that i sound really bad, as sore throat has got worse, what with having fibro and crohns and ache more then normal and all the other symptoms i am showing, its all the signs of swine flu.
Rung my GP surgery, they said the GP will call me.
Still not had shower so will have to wait until after GP calls.
