Hiya,

I was born and bred in North London and have lived in various parts of North London and Hertfordshire over the years and now live in Essex, right on the Herts/Essex border, I don't know anyone else with FM so would be glad to meet for coffee or similar if that's the kind of thing you are looking for? :-)

Hi Robert,

I live in Barnet. I have found out there is a FM group at the Royal Free Hospital on the 4th Monday of each month. It starts at 6.15pm on the lower ground floor in the Rheumatology Library.

I have not attended as yet and the next one is on the 25th of June. My partner is away that day so as long as I am not in a flare I am hoping to go. I would prefer to drive but have lately been having dizzy spells.

But I guess I don't need to explain to you. I will only know around 4pm of that day if I am going to attend. I do not know of any local groups. Would be great if one was nearer.

Have you attended any support groups before ?

Tatt.

I have been to the Royal Free which is run by Patsy Baker, but I do like the support group I attend in Redridge which is in the afternoon on the second Tuesday of the month from 1.30 to 4pm. The timing seems easier as sometimes I feel to tied to go to Hampstead in the everning especially during the cold dark winter months.

I think I will be going to the Royal Free later this month but I not sure as I not been since November as like I said I normally too tired to drive to Hampstead and back aroud 7pm.

Hi Tatt,

If your partner away and I am coming from the same town as you then maybe I could be a gentleman and offer you a lift.

That would be a lovely gesture Robert, thank you I may take you up on it.

What is your experience of groups as in how many people attend and have you made some new friends from there?

Newbury Park is basically just after Walthamstow in the borough of Redbridge. The address of the clinic is The Redbridge Diabetic Clinic, Perrymans Farm Road.

Just copy this below and enter in to your web browser

and The Royal Free Hospial is in Pond Street, Hampstead. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl

Hi Tabithakat,

Are you able to get to the Royal Free Hospital?

Robert has posted a map link above. If we get a few more we could start our own group : )

Did anyone go tonight?

It would have been so good for me but I have had migraine since yesterday. Really need to meet local fibromates to connect with. ...
