I'm new & need some help!

Postby vetnurselise » Wed Mar 13, 2013 11:57 am

Hi all
I've just finished INPUT Pain Management Programme at St Thomas for undiagnosed FM.
I am absolutely sure this is what I have but have a rubbish GP who basically just wants to give me more & more tablets!
I would be interested to see if any support groups on FM or chronic pain in London & also re work.
I am able to work part time but pain is v bad. I can just about cook & dress myself but would fin ir helpful to know if can register as disabled but not claim the benefits - more so that people around me accept that I actually do have a disability! Does anyone have any advice for me?
Many thanks

I dont think there is a way of registaring yourself disabled anymore.

People mainly nowadays go on DLA awards/supporting letters for GP and any diagnoses

Dear Vetnurselise,

I am in East London and have applied to my local council to have a per support allowance Nd it has just been approved. I have been ill for 6 years and have jumped through my hoops so let me know if I can help.

Kind regards gentle hugs!
