The Rugby Fibromyalgia Support Group meets on 2nd Thursday in each month in Rugby and now has over 70 members.

We continue to try and develop a men carers sub group Fibrolads for the long suffering guys who live with sufferers, although a few have been helped understand the condition more and "come out of their shell" its still a hard slog getting men to talk about their feelings.

Being on the borders of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire we attract members from 10-20 mile radius, and provide the chance of a friendly chat, information and a growing friendship for people with the same issues.

To know more about the group and our meetings email support (at) fibromyalgia-support.net or phone 01788 333755 speaking to Mary or Maurice Clarke (chair and secretary resp.) This Thurday 8th we have Warwickshire Welfare Rights giving a talk on benefits and appeals.

The Rugby group is now looking to involve more members in activities rather them sitting there waiting for things to be done for them.

Its good therapy too, several of our key members who do things for the group have turned their life around, proving to us caring for others and seeing the group members as friends, each supporting the other is the way forward.

Besides we are tired, and despite our willingness cannot do it all - share the load, "you know it makes sense!!"

Our web site is now also offering free hosting to any SUPPORT group around the UK, inc hosting a domain, even registering a new domain. Just email Maurice for me info or see the SUPPORT section on the web site.
