Brass bands

Postby Claire Spong » Sat Mar 05, 2011 4:55 am

Does anyone else on here play for a brass band? I play soprano cornet. Finding trouble at the moment though as the fibromyalgia is affecting the knuckles in my right hand which cab make it painful to operate the valves.

Hi adele
Yes, I was awake a lot of the night. My own fault really as I slept for about 4 hours in the afternoon so was a lot more awake when I woke in the night than I usually would be! Just can't turn my brain off at night sometimes! And my back was hurting so getting comfortable was a problem. Always seem to manage to sleep again once the light starts to come through the curtains though, maybe I feel safer in daylight?
Hope you manage to get a nap in later!

hi clare,

it's probably not healthy but it is so much easier to sleep during the day and potter around at night. i like the peace and quiet.

you've reminded me of the marching band i was in as a teenager, i totally forgot. i was terrible at it. i think it was the the e flat tenor horn :?: i tortured. i wouldn't know one if i saw one now.

i went for the social life more than anything.

i hope you sleep better tonight, if not maybe see you on here

:hugs: adele xx
