The life you get

Postby juliem » Mon Mar 04, 2013 6:45 pm

I was linked to the above article and thought it very apt for here. It was shared actually for parents and children struggling with the fact that though their children dreamed of a career in dance it just wasn't happening.

It was written originally to try to explain feeling when one has a disabled baby/child.

Anyway I found a real resonance with fibro.

ive had this for 12 years, and hated every minute of it, trying to push myself to meet demands of a normal life, my health is getting worse over recent months and im struggling even more to keep up, ive had to revaluate things, this poem has name me realise that spending time with my chuldren and doing the little things i didnt have time to do before is nore important than fighting for and chasing a career i may never have, this illness althoughh horrendous may not be as much of a curse as i had previously thought, but a blessing in desguise.
