Feeling faint when standing still too long

Postby TappingTeabreak » Tue Jul 02, 2013 5:37 pm

Hi - this is my first post. I have been on Gabapentin since April this year when i was diagnosed. I am now on 1800mg Gabapentin a day and feel absolutely fine on it and it stops my pain.

My legs have always been my worst part, especially the back of my thighs. Although there is no pain they do fatigue quite easily.

Today I was standing for about 15 minutes and although I was clenching my buttocks and going on tippy toes I couldn't raise my BP again and started feeling nauseaus and clammy and had to rush out and lay down.

When I move around or sit down i feel fine - it's just when i stand about.

Does anyone else experience this???

Many thanks

Hi,
I have fibro but also suffer from P.O.Ts. If your HR increases when you stand up by 30 beats a minute or more. Might be worth you googling it and checking it out. Pots stands for postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
