Does anyone have eye problems with fibro or ME?

Hi Tracie

I do - I find that my vision frequently changes during the day, and get a lot of eye muscle pain - I also suffer with very dry eyes too.

This becomes a big issue when I have my eye test...... especially when your optician doesn't seem to know anything about the effects of Fibro on the eyes.

I'll try and look out the medical paper about it and post the link on here.

Hi Tracie

this is helpful http://www.fibromyalgia-associationuk.o ... f=1&id=266

and this one is the one I mentioned - to give to your optician, if you go and see them http://homepages.sover.net/~devstar/eye_doc.pdf

I've also found that each time I go for my test my eye pressures are all over the place.....

I've had a lot of problems with blurred vision - fibro affects eye muscles too.
Last eye check I asked for someone who knew about the effects of fibro and got an excellent chap.
He's put prisms in my glasses to stop my eyes wandering off independently
It has cut down on the headaches too.
Hope this helps!
Carrie

My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four.
Unless there are three other people.

Also have had eye problems ,got a solution that helps when eye goes dry.once when really dry my eyelid stuck to cornea when I opened my eye gave myself cornea abrasion, so if this happens open eyes slowly.
Eye muscle like all our muscles get tired hence problems with focusing. If it happens don't,t use computers TV or reading. Anything really that means your eye needs to change focus frequently.best idea is Rest it by doing nothing .
