Painful lipomas

Postby blueeyes64 » Mon Jul 29, 2013 10:48 pm

I know I've mentioned this before but it is getting me down :(
As well as the lipomas i have had for years now I am constantly finding more that have emerged. They are causing me a lot of discomfort.Sometimes constant aching, or burning or sharp pains in them.
When I move them around the aching / pain seems to spread.
I mentioned it to my GP and she just said there wasn't much could be done and in fact she has one, wish I only had one !
I may have already mentioned this and I'm sorry if I have ! Memory's terrible sometimes
I sometimes feel like there is a tight band around my ribs under where my bra sits (even when not wearing it ) and constant ache all the way round.
What can be done about them so fed up !

This linky has a mention of a condition where lipomas develop all over the body http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/lipoma/Pag ... ction.aspx Not really sure how relevant it might be to you, but it might be worth a look into to see if there is something that can be done to help you with them.

WRT the pain feeling like the tight band along the bra line, this old topic viewtopic.php?t=889 mentions a very similar thing to what you have described as well as it possibly being costochondritis, might be another thing to explore and see how symptoms fit with what you experience. Linky about costo for a bit more info for you http://www.webmd.boots.com/pain-managem ... chondritis
