Has anyone been diagnosed with fibro by a GP and not seen a specialist? I was wondering about this as the doctor thinks I have fibro, but an ENT specialist I have seen thinks its CFS...of course there is the possibility it could be both.

I was just wondering who out there has only been diagnosed through a GP and not a rheumatologist

It seemed like my gp didn't want to tied down to anything and i had to go through countless blood tests and different prognosis' before finally going to the rheumy but to be fair i have got so many different things wrong I'm surprised how i went on as long as i did !!!

I was diagnosed by my gp and we have a good pain management, he feels it is less stressful for me to go to the surgery than countless visits to the hospital , which I am glad about as he started me on my meds quicker than waiting for appointments from the hospital xxx

I told my GP I thought I had FMS and he did the tests. He did send me to the Rheum but only for a treatment plan, not really a diagnosis. To be honest this last few months I am wondering if I have CFS too :(
