how true- but how are we going to raise awareness in the places that need it most- the doctors surgeries ? ! Half of them look at you as tho' you are a hypochondriac, a quarter dole out a few more painkillers without really taking much interest, and the last quarter? well if you are lucky enough to see one they are the doctors who have read up on Fibro, and, even if it's not possible, will try their damnest to help you mentally and physically. The trouble is, there aren't enough of the last ones to go round !

Frances, if you have a look at this linky http://www.ukfibromyalgia.com/awareness-raising.html it will take you to the Awareness Raising page on the main UKFM site. There is a poster that can be printed off and displayed in places, as well as ideas of things that can be done to not only raise awareness but to also help raise funds as well.

Got mine too thank you Martin, ask your surgery if they are willing to put up posters that go some way to explain Fibro, people are always looking at the walls in surgeries looking for things to read while waiting. Try fibroduck to see if they have any, Martin did have them for awareness week in May dont know if there are any generic ones about :?: :?: :?: :?:
