Frances I have split your post off from where you had originally made it as it was completely unrelated to the topic you had added it to. When wanting to ask about something, if you can't find a topic on the same subject, instead of posting on a random topic, you're better off starting a new one. Doing so means that your original post won't be lost in amongst others that are made on the original topic.

This Linky has info about about ANA testing, what it is used to indicate, what types of results can show etc.

I have Fibromyalgia as well as other problems, including Connective Tissue Disorder. I was originally diagnosed as having low-level SLE a few years ago with an ANA blood test but it has now been downgraded to the CTD. A ANA blood test is used to detect things like SLE and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
