painful scalp and sores

Postby LuluAnne » Fri Oct 04, 2013 9:45 pm

I am wondering if anyone else has this problem. My scalp is very painful and I often get sores on my head. I have tried to use very gentle cleaners but it seems that nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? thanks

I have a very tender scalp.
Like if you have to go to hairdresser and they pull a bit it is sore.
Also when i was my hair i have a very red scalp when i take the towel off.
Also if anybody pats my head it feel as if they have hit me with a brick.

hope this helps

love

This has been on for a while but I hope I can still help.

I had a very painful scalp and sores on my head too and my very good doctor gave me a prescription for Neutrogena T/Gel. It really works if you use it correctly. You have to wet your hair put the shampoo in and leave it for 5 mins and then rinse off.

I now get a bottle with my repeat prescription and I now do not have any more problems. When my OH ran out of his shampoo he 'borrowed' some of mine and he had chronic dandruff and it cleared that up too.

Speak to the Doc because it costs about £5 for a bottle and give it a try. I hope this helps :-D
