Racing heart and tremor?

Postby Wackers34 » Mon Oct 21, 2013 2:05 pm

Does anyone else get a racing heartbeat (mine is often 90 -100) and I am already on Beta Blockers! Ive also started to get what feels like a tremor or tremble in my chest...Seen a neurologist, he thinks its all normal...waiting on an MRI result, so shall see if its a neurological problem. I just wanted to see if people thought this was part of fibro or anxiety perhaps??

I've recently started to get this too. It's quite unnerving. Could be medicine related or internal anxiety. Try and talk to your Dr about it - he might suggest an ecg as precaution. You might need to rest more if possible.

I was dignosed with fm 13 yrs ago after yrs of pain and for that duration i have suffered from my heart just suddenly racing for no reason it can last anything from 10 secs to 2 hrs. I can only stop it by continually holding my breath on and off. Have seen cardio specialist had numerous heart monitors of for up to 5 days but nothing ever shown up my Dr will not commit to say its linked to fm but i know of many other sufferers who experience the same

My *normal* heartbeat is around 90/100 and been told that ok.

I get this trembling and pressure and *thumps* and flutters  been told its *just* eptopic heartbeats! and too **google** it!!! ECG never picked it up tho as its not a constant thing for me, tends to be agrivated by stress.

Hi There:)))

I just saw your mention about heart related things.... so see if this makes any sense or comforts you in anyway.
I have had high blood pressure before and when I have gone on the monitors my heart rate is usually about 64-65 during
the day at rest... but If I use my blood pressure monitor in the morning before I get out of bed by heart rate is only
50-56... so I went to the doctors about it a few times and asked if it was going too slow, and they said no:)) that's fine.
I have also had times even in the middle of the night that I have woke up suddenly with a racing heart and in a kind of panic :yikes:
now that *is * scary :yikes: :yikes:
I went on a heart research programme at the hospital for 8 weeks and each week they did a different test on me... CT scans,
Blood tests, dye injected in me, heart scans you name it and the last test was the Treadmill... at the end of it I asked, do I have
heart disease and the professor said no I didn't phew!! So if you are worried ask you GP to send you to the cardiac unit at the
hospital to have extensive tests like I did.....Even when I was on the treadmill, I said to the doctors behind me while I was
all wired up running on the machine, that I had a pain in my chest, they said no you haven't keep going!!! so even when I said
I had that, they were looking on three TV monitors to see what was happening, so I felt safe even though I thought I was dying
