Go back to ur gp. If u r feeling like that you might need different meds. I was also like that and now on small does of sertriline as well as amitriptyline and it has made a huge difference in how I cope. Don't struggle in silence that's what they r there for. :-D

Sorry to hear how bad things are making you feel Tracie, I really think if these feeling carry on then your only option is to go back to the docs and explain things to them, they can give you some meds to see you through till you see the specialist and it may just take the edge of for you

Ask your doc to chase up the appointment for you, they can contact the specialist and ask for them to see you sooner :hugs: :hugs:

Sorry to hear that, the waiting must be getting you down as well, have you tried some hot water bottles on the worst areas, I find it just helps to take the edge off things again so that I can start to move a bit more normally

Sorry to hear of your pain. I also am off work at the moment and have found my symptoms getting worse. I do think it's the cold and damp weather irritates my Fibro. I find a nice hot bath or shower is quite beneficial and relaxes the muscles for a while. Have you thought about physio? There maybe something they can suggest to help with the pain.

I struggled to get doctors' to give me something stronger but saw a different doctor. Even tho she was reluctant, she did give me some co-codamol. I also take 20mg of Amytriptaline which is having a bit of an effect with my sleeping.

It's not an easy condition to cope with but everyone on the forum are really supportive.
