Fell down the stairs

Postby HeppiBean » Sun Jan 12, 2014 10:19 am

This is not my week. Out of my usual codeine, having to make do with over the counter stuff. And this morning I fall down the stairs..

Was coming down to get my son up and my foot slipped off the step, bounced down 4 steps on my bum with a jarring pain shooting up my back on each one...

Am now sat on the sofa feeling very sore and stiff :(

I couldn't move for a couple of minutes after it happened, everytime I tried to get up it felt like my back was on fire, or was going to snap in half. Now, sat here, it's a constant sharp pain made worse if I move...

Do you think I should pop up to minor injuries? Xx

You really should go to hospital, and be checked over if only for your own peace of mind. Take care, and keep us posted x

Thanks jeany. It's still hurting a lot but as I'm going to have to go to the docs tomorrow anyway I figured I'd just get it checked then. X

Aww no, sorry to hear about your fall.

Do you have some frozen veggies you could wrap in a towel to cool your sore back? I hope it's " just" bruised and nothing serious but bruises can be just as ( if not more) painful. Especially when you're hurting anyway.

Sending you some [chocolate] [chocolate] [chocolate] :cup1: :cup1: :teddy-bear: . Good luck for your doctor's app tomorrow.

Been to minor injuries today after my docs boyed me off...

I have a compression injury and need to rest up for a few days, so thankfully nothing serious. She did say that if the surrounding pain stops but the central point on my spine carries on hurting or get worse I have to go to a and e.

Thank you all forbyourbkind words xx

You must have passed along your clumsiness :penguin: it walked this way. LOL! I went down the full flight this morning. I am stiffening up now. On the couch but I need to be in bed but can't seem to get there. Hubby will be home in 2 hours then he can help.
