Dry eyes/mouth and itching all over

Postby Sunflower7 » Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:39 am

Does anyone else suffer from these symptoms? Are they quite common for fibro sufferers? The itching is horrible :( I'm not on any meds apart from thyroxine. Thanks

I also suffer with dry eyes as the inflammation moves into my face and eyes from other parts of my body. My optomotrist recommended holding a warm flannel to them and using dry eye drops, this works for me. I also find aloe vera gel soothing when rubbed in around the eye area, not in the eye of course. :-)

I suffer from all these things. The itching can be horrendous at times, feel like using a knife on it. The only thing I have found that helps at all for the itching and the stabbing pains is Voltarol Pain eze gel, and massaging it in helps also.

Sunflower, have you mentioned these symptoms to your Dr? These are symptoms that go along with a thyroid condition.

I am on thyroxine because I have no thyroid , cancer.

Have you been diagnosed with fibro? If so, I am wondering why you are not on any medication.

Hi There, I have an underactive thyroid which was diagnosed 7 years ago so am on thyroxine. I was diagnosed with cfs 17 years ago and that is still officially my diagnosis although a rheumatologist said my symptoms are like fibro so I don't know. The itching bothers me more than pain although I'm very stiff and sore in the mornings and have problems sleeping. I also have bladder problems too.

Your symptoms sound like thyroid. Mention it again to your Dr.
