Some happy news!

Postby csangel » Wed Mar 19, 2014 5:01 pm

Hello,

Haven't been on here for a while, but wanted to come and give a little update from me. Diagnosed over a year ago now, back and forth sorting meds, etc. and managed to get on a pain clinic course that started in September. Was really eye opening meeting other people, and we did a lot of cognitive behavioural therapy. Started weaning off all my meds around Christmas time - feeling the best I have in years and for other reasons, bought our first house and completed towards the end of January, and now....
...

I'm pregnant! :-D :-D :-D :yikes: :yikes:

Only 4 and 1/2 weeks along at the min, so keeping things quiet for now. Not looking forward to telling my parents (I'm 25 years old!) as I know my mum won't approve, but we felt it was the right time for us, and I wasn't sure how the next few years were going to pan out with regards to the fibro, so we decided we'd go for it!!!

Am over the moon, and it hasn't really sunk in yet, but just wanted to say to everyone to hang in there. Life will get better, and follow your dreams. They really can come true!

Wow!!! What a busy time you've been having Lucy, and what wonderful news to share with us :flowers: :flowers: :flowers: :blowkiss: :blowkiss: :blowkiss: :blowkiss:

It's fantastic that you're now feeling so good :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing: Altho your mum may not approve of things at the moment, as that ickle person grows inside you, hopefully you'll find that the fairy_dust fairy_dust fairy_dust from it will start to melt her and soon she'll be :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing: :bear-dancing: about things :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

Take care of yourself, and any time your OH offers to do something for you, make sure you say yes and enjoy the extra bits of pampering attention :cow-wave: :cow-wave: :cow-wave: :cow-wave:

Aw thanks guys! Might be heading back in soon for some support as things progress, but am hoping I'll be one of those people who's pain improves with pregnancy!

Was really worried before if we made the right decision, but now my little bean is on the way I'm on top of the world and ready for anything! (for now)!

There have been a few posts about pregnancy over the past few months that might be helpful if you need it.

Thank you!

Fluppypuffy - will have a look at those, thanks for pointing them out :-)

MikH-D - I might just do that in the months to come, thanks! :-D

Everything seems really positive and I'm very happy at the moment. Can't concentrate on much at work though, my mind keeps spinning about it all! Then I forget, and then remember and it's brilliant! Hope I don't come crashing down too hard from this high ;-)

Take care everyone. It's nearly the weekend
