Pain moved from shoulder to leg weird!!

Postby Welshsue » Tue Apr 15, 2014 2:26 pm

Hi guys, I've suffered from Fibro since a car accident in Feb 2013. It has always been centred around my shoulder, neck, head. I was rushed into hospital via ambulance last week, with gastroenteritis and dehydration. Thankfully after a being put on a drip overnight, I was allowed home the following day. The weirdest thing has happened, my pain is now centred in my right calf muscles of my leg. I have read that the fibro pain moves around the body, but this is just plain weird! I'm struggling to walk, hobbling around the house, it gets slightly better once I've got some painkillers down me, and once I've been up and about a few hours. I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if its here to stay? I honestly believe I can get the best advice from my fellow sufferers via this forum, as I'm sure my doc would think I've lost the plot lol! :yikes: Gentle hugs to everyone xx

Pain moves around the body randomly, that's why it's Fibromyalgia, because there's no specific pain area.

I so agree with your comments huni, the pain is weird and unbearable, it makes you feel useless and old before your time, but we must try to keep smiling through the pain! Gentle hugs x

Pain does move around but get it checked to rule out thrombosis. I had the same not long ago in my calf muscle.

If there is any heat or swelling around the pain in your calf, get it checked out by your health care professional. Otherwise, due to your dehydration last week, there could be some imbalance in your tissue salts and calcium/magnesium which can cause muscle cramps and aches. Eat lots of leafy green vegetables, nuts and seeds, citrus fruits, figs and raisins. Also get some sunshine if you can. I hope that it all balances out soon. :-)

Thanks so much for your replies, I did get it checked out at surgery after getting home from hospital. Its not hot, nor swollen, so nothing to panic about. It is, very weird tho! I will take your advice jezebellow, thanks very much,
