high blood pressure

Postby debs67 » Mon Feb 09, 2015 7:33 pm

Has anyone got high blood pressure . Never had it before but the bottom reading is higher than what it should be and wont come down. Given me headaches , dizziness etc. Will probably have more tablets to take from tomorrow. Feel tired enough from the fibro , but this is really wearing me down :(

I've had high blood pressure for about 25 years. Nothing to do with fibro. It's the effect of years of steroids for asthma and COPD. I monitor my bp at home, ( monitors are pretty cheap -under £20 ) and, with the help of my doctor I vary the meds accordingly.
I can never tell it's high though, unless it's way off the scale. I call it the silent condition.
There's lots of advice on lowering your BP online.
Unfortunately I cant walk and exercise is very difficult, so I'm stymied for reducing the BP with activity.

I hope you manage to lower yours. Good luck :-)
