free dental treatment on pip?

Postby Trish140363 » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:58 pm

Was just wondering if you can get free dental treatment on pip along with prescriptions?

I don't think you can. PIP is not means tested and free NHS treatment comes with tax credits, income support etc. Check on the government benefits site to be certain though.

You can get free dental treatment only if your on income support. So if your benefits don't include this one you wont receive any help xx

You can request help under the Low Income Scheme. Check out the NHS Business Authority's website. I have a HC3 certificate which gives some help with eye tests, etc. Hope that helps. Good luck!

I have never heard of that! Can you tell us how you got assessed and how long it took, please? I have no income and am no benefits, but the cost of prescriptions varies (because I haven't found the 'right' medication yet) and I have to pay for parking at the hospital etc.

Ah thanks denys. I've been reading about it and still not sure if I qualify, but I have asked for the form anyway :)
