pip and tax man

Postby Trish140363 » Fri Feb 13, 2015 1:54 pm

Hi... I am in receipt of pip but I am a self employed taxi drive/owner
will the tax man take this pip into consideration when I pay my tax bill at the end of the year?

PIP isn't a means tested or taxable benefit as far as I am aware but I would go on the HMRC website for further clarification.

Agreed! PiP is not a taxable income per the handbook from Atos and Capita. You can work and receive this benefit, it will have to be included in your return, but NOT as taxable income.
