Legs soooooo painful

Postby judipat » Wed Sep 16, 2015 10:10 pm

Hi Folks

I know I've written about this before but I'm really getting to the end of my tether with these pains in my legs. A few weeks ago, it was my right leg - I can only describe it as severe cramp that is continual, plus burning sore knees. However, this week its switched and is now in my left leg as well as searing, stabbing pain in the top of my right thigh. As you can imagine, I'm now climbing the walls (ha ha, I can barely move). I'm not sleeping because of the pain and every time i move in bed its like a hot knife going through my legs. Consequently, I feel absolutely crap. Due to go to a specialist physio in about a week about my legs - in the meantime, have to keep popping the painkillers (not that they do a lot, just take the edge off).
I suppose I'm so worried that this is a permanent symptom of my fibro cause i feel so incapacitated and such a burden on my husband and family.
Sorry for the moan, just feeling very low and quite desperate. :(

sorry nothing to help apart from gentle hugs, my pain is best described as a cross between a niggly toothache the sort you get from sensitive teeth and ice cream and that horrid numb pain you get when your mate thumps your arm in the playground and gives you a dead arm, not much makes a difference but i do find i get a bit of relief from heat, others find cold helps.

Go on as much as you want - we're all in it together. Hope you get some relief from your physio.

I am exactly the same in fact you could be describing me. Don't know what to do about it. I go back to my Rheumatologist next week and I am hoping he has an answer for me but not hoping for much. So glad to hear someone else has the same symptoms I was beginning to think I am a hypochondriac. Hugs to you

Thanks for your replies;
Yes, maz and pats, its always good to know you are not alone. I know a lot on here suffer with their legs - you only have to type in legs into search and thousands come up! I know I have ostearthritis in my hips but the latest xrays showed no deterioration since the last about 2 years ago, so I dont feel that can contribute to the leg pain which I've had 6 months or so. I'm seriously thinking of seeing an osteopath or chiropracter, have any of you done that specifically about your legs??
If you ever want to pm me, please feel free

Thanks
