sensory response to pain

Postby alibp » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:48 pm

I know that fibromyalgia causes sensory hyper sensitivity which means that sound, light etc can actually cause a pain response. I didn't realize just how much until today. Felt shattered so went to bed with industrial earplugs. Woke up and didn't have my usual pain and sensation of swelling in my hands and feet. Felt odd as its been a very long time. Within moments of normal sound levels returning the hands and feet went back to hurting. Have many of you noticed such an extreme response? Have you tried blocking out everything for a couple of hours to see? I wonder as I have a rather noisy household so wonder if I respond more because it is more extreme.
