Before having fibro I used to be able to...

Before having fibro I used to be able to...

Get out of bed without sound effects.
Enjoy an espresso in the morning without the additional painkillers.
Dance (badly).
Get up off the floor - instead of scrabbling around like a crab.
Walk up the stairs and not see it as a challenging mountain climb.

What can you add?

Hugs
Claire

Walk my dogs daily

Remember to walk through a door and not into it

Laugh 'til I peed myself....not so funny when you don't do anything and that happens now :(

Work 12 hour shifts caring for the elderly which was my job for 10 years working in different settings.
Go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week.
Run up the stairs.
Move quicker than a Slough.
Stay awake long enough to watch a film.
Drive further than 3 to 5 miles on my own.
Get up in a morning and walk without looking like a 90 year old woman.
Go out in an evening and not want to be in bed by 9pm.
Go for days out and not pay for it for the next week.
Not take loads of medication everyday.
Not have to wait until the day to confirm plans because who knows what state you will wake up in.
Not let people down all the time.
Be able to cook a meal with out falling asleep and burning it.
Rely on my family and boyfriend to support me in ways a nearly 30yr old shouldn't be supported.

The list goes on.....

go for a walk that was miles not yards
hold my camera and take photos for ages not minutes
run jump and skip with the kids in the playground (now I sit at one school and struggle to walk round the big playground in another school)
get in and out the bath without the help of an inflatable cushion
tie my shoe laces without falling flat on my face!
have branflakes and milk for breakfast (tried with orange juice many times and once with ketchup!! :nono: )
